Class Mass Pictures

Dear Parents,
This upcoming week, here's what to expect...

Monday - Our rescheduled Terry Fox Run/Walk around the school.  Please ensure that your child comes to school with appropriate foot wear to be walking a fair distance outside.  Our class will be buddied up with an older grade and walk together.  Hopefully, the rain will stay away for a while!

Wednesday - Language Test, students will be assessed on how to identify, name and write the four types of sentences.  Please review yellow language duo tang Monday and Tuesday night.  We should be good to go for this test, as we have done quite well on weekly quizzes!

Dear Parents,

Today, Friday, we will be replacing our scheduled Language Test with a Language Quiz.  Our final test on Sentences will be next week.  The expectation is that students will be able to write the four kinds of sentences with appropriate punctuation.  Today's quiz will be very similar to last weeks assessment for practice. Yellow Language duo tangs will be sent home next week for review prior to the test.

I am very excited for our class Mass today with Fr. Tony.  Our team has been working hard practising and we are all looking forward to any parents wishing to attend!  Mass begins at 1:00pm today in our classroom.  It will last approximately 1 hour.

Loonie License Day went EXTREMELY WELL!  I am thrilled with the donations that our players brought in!  We raised $71.00 from our class alone for the Terry Fox Foundation!  Thank you for your generosity!  Students enjoyed chewing gum, sitting next to a friend, wearing PJs and hats and having a toy on their desks!

Dear Parents,

Well, I corrected all of the THRoW  books from last week's homework over the weekend and gave some constructive feedback on how your child can improve.  Please read over my feedback BEFORE beginning new THRoW this week.  Again, students are asked to identify the text as Fiction or Non-Fiction and prove it by the features (see example at the front of each THRoW book).  Same task as last week, only a new text. 


Spelling:  Please sign and make sure your child has written each error 10x at the back of their speller before returning.  All spellers should be returned before Friday.

This week:  

Terry Fox Run at 10:00 start in our gym followed by a run around the track.  Thank you for all of your support!  Our school goal is to raise $1000.00 for this worthy cause!  Privileges are also given as an incentive to be enjoyed on Thursday this week.  Remember to bring in gum / wear PJs / hat / toy / if your child paid for those privileges!

This week, Friday, September 30th at 1:00 pm, Team Wilson will organize and participate in our very own classroom mass with Fr. Tony and Ms. Christine from OLPH Church.  We are very excited to plan, practise and put on this mass.  It helps us understand the parts of the mass and allows us a chance to take part in something very special.  Ask your child which part they are doing in this mass...because EVERYONE has an important role to play in making it our very first TEAM WILSON class family mass!
